Fund Raising and Events

The next fund raising/awareness event will be the Red Poppy Festival in Georgetown, Texas, April 26 & 27. The museum will have a booth that will feature interactive projects for children, and sell food and other items. Volunteers are needed for shifts of 2 hours each.

2008 Goals: Phase II Fundraising Categories

A. Start-up contributions
to pay for print materials, festival booths, and traveling exhibits to raise community awareness and support. Donations of this kind will also help purchase interactive projects and crafts that can be resold at events and baskets that can be auctioned to produce further revenue. Contributions can be:

  • Cash
  • Supplies (paper, ink, craft materials)
  • Gift basket items, gift certificates)

B. Contributions and commitments for permanent and rotating exhibits. Donations can be cash or in kind donations in the areas of science, art, culture, transportation, etc. See Business Plan.

C. Capital Donations to pay for the cost of the museum facility, administration, and the hiring of a professional fundraiser/grant writer. See Business Plan.

Donations at all levels are welcome.
