We are parents, teachers, and other adults concerned about how our children will meet the challenges of living in an increasingly complex technological and global culture. Our vision is to create an educational venue for all ages to experience, so these new challenges can be understood and shared by all family members.

The name is the result of a competition, in which two teachers both suggested using “hands-on” in the title. They both explained that “hands-on” interaction with active engagement is the best way for all ages to learn.
- Families who want to learn together
- School children, from pre-K through High School
- Retired and older citizens, who are curious about new discoveries and developments in the world
- Recruited a Board of Directors
- Developed a business plan
- Raised funds to file for non-profit 501-C3 status
- Appeared in three articles in local papers

The Hill Country Hands-On Museum is a private non-profit 501 C3 project. The museum is in its initial exploration stages and needs people to contribute expertise in creating a business plan, programming for the museum, developing infrastructure, and fundraising.
